The Community Engagement team
- Develop, implement, maintain and evaluate a comprehensive consumer and community consultation framework within Greater Western Area Health.
- Provide support for the Greater Western Area Health Advisory Council.
Current Activities:
- Preparing the Health Council's 2007/2008 Activity Report document.
- Supporting the Healthy Community Consultation program.
- Through the Health Council Orientation and Training Working Group identifying training needs and opportunities for Health Councillors
- Developing a Health Service Manager's Tool Kit to assist their role with Health Councils
- Preparing for the 2009 Annual Health Council Forum
- Maintaining Community Engagement website.
- Through the Community Engagement Website Working Group reviewing the Community Engagement website.
- Assisting Health Service Managers and Health Councils with recruitment of members for their Health Council.
- Assisting Health Service Managers and Health Councils in the orientation of new Health Councillors.
